Sounds Good4
Bought this book just out of interest as will be spending about 3 days in Singapore soon. So far, full of information which is useful for both independent, business and a tourist travelling in Singapore. Contains both local lingo and information relating to Singapore without going overboard. Doesn't tell you about accomodation and places to stay which is what I expected. More about the information of the places briefly itself on what to expect. May not appeal to all who expect more. But to me, it is relatively good.

Have to give 4 stars for layout, presentation and information. Will come back and update once actually have been to Singapore having used the book!

NOTE: Just got back. Map useful. Travel instruction was ok. Book forgot to mention there's hop on hop off bus and river cruise tour which is recommended if you want a brief overview. Did not include Seletar Airport (for ppl flying from Tioman Island, Malaysia). The spot tips were good. Otherwise still recommended for ppl going on short trip to singapore

Very Useful Guide4
I visited Singapore for 4 nights last year in June 2008 with my wife. Prior to our visit I had gleaned a lot of information from various web sites and made up my own guide. I bought this guide recently, really as a memento of the trip and in case of a future visit. Yes, there is only a brief page regarding accomodation, but I don't think you can beat the Tripadvisor site for this type of information, helped by the reviews given by other independent travellers. I find the layout in 'neighbourhoods with maps' particularly helpful. The information on general areas e.g. transport, currency etc is spot-on. For the size of the guide it does a great job and it is easy to carry around with you. The previous review stated there was no mention of the hop on hop off (yellow)bus, however, there is and the book even states the ticket price plus the fact it is run by Singapore Airways (free to their passengers). Rather that carry the sheets of paper and the maps I brought out with me, I wish I had bought and carried out this guide with me. I would definitely recommend this book for a short trip, it is crammed with very useful information.
