Too small to please
I was very disappointed in this book. Having visited Barcellona last month and seen a copy there, I ordered it as soon as I got home. But to my amazement the book I received was only 10 cms square. The one I saw was about 25cms square. Same title, same cover illustration etc, but only 40% of the size.Maybe it has the same content, but it is far too small to enjoy the visual magnificence of Gaudis brilliant work.And it's too small to fit properly on a bookshelf with my other art books.
small can be beautiful
True, this may be too small to convey the scale and splendour of Gaudi's work, but it's a handy little reminder, sturdy and easy to hold, that you can pack into a bag to browse through on the bus, or refer to for inspiration in an environment away from your bookshelves at home. It covers a very wide range of work with clear photographs and minimal text.
