Best for a short trip4
Like all other books in the DK series, this guide is well-illustrated. Who has time to read pages and pages of opinions about Parisians and history, when you're in a city to have fun for only a short break?

This book is ideally-suited for just those people. Those nipping in and out within 3-4 days. The Top 10 restaurants, tourist attractions, places to live, etc are outlined clearly. The book still manages to be rich enough in detail to find out which cafes Picasso and Dali hung out in, where Sartre lived, what's special about the engineering behind the Eiffel Tower, etc. It could've been a bit more informative on travelling within Paris (e.g. L'Open Tour bus, the Metro, etc.). But I guess the publishers want to keep it thin. All in all a good guide.

The Best Travel Book in my Suit case5
My wife and I recently visited Paris on a five day tour. I had purchased the book some weeks before travelling and found it to be the best travel book that I have ever bought. Needless to say that by following the tips in the book we saw far more of Paris than we have seen on other visits to this beautiful city.
Worth its weight in gold.

Informative!5
I bought this book just before visiting Paris in April. It was very informative, containing just the right amount of information. It is a great size as it is light enough and small enough so you don't mind carrying it around with you (some of guides I have bought in the past have been so heavy!) My group stuck to the top ten things to see as we were only there for a couple of days. It was ideal! It has a few maps and underground map too which were very helpful.
