Julia Hartley has been catering professionally for weddings and large parties for the past 16 years. She has worked and travelled in many parts of the world, most recently running a bruschetta bar and catering company in Cape Town. Back in England, Julia continues to cater for weddings and parties. This is her first book.

How many recipes???
OMG this book is the BEST present ever. 365 is a huge number of recipes so what a generous and needed addition to my kitchen collection. I love the clear layout and presentation, and huge and imaginative range of cracking mouth watering ideas. More party food than tapas in my mind - cant wait to share with friends.

every recipe a gem
The minute I had this book in my hand I found loads of recipes that I was dying to try out - it's very clearly set out with lots of good ideas for anything from afternoon teas, to pre-dinner bites or more substantial tapas you can serve as a meal. I tried out one of the recipes with my children and it was so simple they had no problems at all. The recipes all seem to work like a dream and the results are great - looks like a professional caterer has produced these good-looking and delicious things but in fact they're simple enough for anyone. And the advice sections are so reassuring - everything you need to know about getting quantities right for a group, organising the prep if you are doing a party etc. I'd say this for anyone who likes to entertain - the kind of book that you use again and again.

I was given this book for my birthday last week + I love it ! 365 different really classy yummy party type foods to serve with drinks + to snack on. I'm never going to cook another dinner party again - just make lots of these + serve with plenty of wine. But also nice tasty things for the kids to enjoy too. I also love the way the book is bound as it means it stays open at the page you're on. Very practical.
