Great new edition!
Delighted such an up to date version of this Rough Guide was out ready for our trip! The maps are detailed and helped us pre-plan where we would book our hotel. The information, as always expeienced in rough guides, is a great balance bewteen relevant, interesting, background history and current recomendations for places to stay, attractions and quirky places to eat etc Would like a mini version!
I found this invaluable, however a few faults...
I found this invaluable on my trip to Barcelona, its very well tumbed now! It gives an excellent overview of the city, and good reviews of eveerything that you'd need, and ideas of where to go. The mini maps of each area are good, however it could have done with an overview map and an idea where the airport was in relation to everything... I got very lost on entering the city, buy an additional map if taking this book! The catalan phrase book at the back was also useful... I found though that some of the things in the book went by different names to the Catalan which was puzzling...
My opininon about the Rough guide
I simply adore the "Rough guide to..." series. It's handy, easy, complete and very up to date with helpful tips. I recommend this series to all travellers!
