Back to my youth.
While on a trip to Suffolk i visited a converted malt store which sold various items on British birds,plants,trees and animals.The book that took my eye was the garden detectives book,i thought it would be perfect for my nine year old grandaughter as she is interested in these subjects.Since i returned home i started to read the book and i cannot stop reading it myself,by the way i am fiftythree.I was at once taken back to my childhood when nature studies were part of my school lessons and trips into the countryside were common just to see a few birds and plant etc.The result now is that i am just ordering annother copy of this brilliant book for myself.The quality of the illustrations are excellent and the use of stickers will appeal to the younger readers.If you decide to buy this book as a present be prepared not to want to give it away!
