Customer Reviews

reading made simple & fun5
I've never written a review before, but just had to let people know how fantastic these books are. My 4 year old loves them and sometimes reads two in an evening. They are designed to be used once a child has knowledge of the basic phonetic sounds that are introduced in the "speed sounds 1" cards produced by the same people (Read,Write Inc). The books are funny - at a level appreciated by young children (and me!). I actually prefer the black & white versions rather than colour as they are cheaper and the pictures are not so distracting from the words.

If your child is beginning to read or struggling with reading, give the Read,Write Inc system a go. My son & I think it's great!

Fantastic5
I have a 6 year old son in year 2 at school. He has been struggling with his reading. He is going to be assessed at school so he can get extra help and it is possible he may have dyslexia. I bought a pack of these books and they are the only things he has had any enthusiasm to read. Going over the sounds and some words before we start each story helps his confidence and the stories are simple but a bit quirky which he really enjoys. He is actually quite keen to get started on each one - long may it last.
