DVD Description
Follow Jamie Oliver as he tours around Britain on his scooter with a basic survival kit of oils, pulses and spices and shows you how to knock up a good meal whether you're on a student's budget or simply trying to impress. Recipes include seared salmon with courgettes, asparagus and rocket; summer crumble; slow-roasted leg of pork with spicy scratching; sticky chocolate sponge pudding; celeriac and potato gratin; tray-baked field mushrooms with garlic, butter and thyme; apricot and pistachio tarte tatin; sea bass with fennel and olives; white risotto with lemon, thyme, sliced prosciutto, pecorino, Parmesan and crumbled goats cheese. These recipes are accessible from the main menu along with lots of tips and recipe ideas.

A pleasure to watch5
This is Jamie Oliver at his best; zooming around the UK on his scooter andknocking up some great dishes on a tight budget. There are some nice extrafeatures on this DVD and each recipe is quickly accessable from the mainmenu which is handy. Overal a very entertaining watch, with some goodpractical tips and lots of mouthwatering recipe ideas. Oh and one rathercute chef!

Good recipes shame about the presentation3
I can only imagine that Jamie Oliver wrote the script for this himself. Provided you dont get irritated by the continual "take the old saucepan and chuck in the old wine and give it a stir with yer old wooden spoon etc etc" this is ok.

I bought it as it was so cheap. There are a couple of decent recipes and a couple of reasonable hints. Overall I was disappointed with this as it failed to meet my expectations being overly simplistic and (have I mentioned this already) having a very annoying presentation style.

Overall worth it for under a fiver but only just!

Jamie's worse1
I think this DVD was produced in the period when Jamie Oliver was the hottest thing, and anything bearing his name sold. The DVD is short, not very exciting, and the food very simple and uninspiring...As much as I liked other ones by JO, I found this one a waste of time and money.
