Customer Reviews
A well engineered product, but with some limitations
I bought the MPro110 because unlike the Optoma PK101 or the Aiptek Pocket Projector V10 it came with both VGA & Video connectivity (converting VGA to Composite Video would have required a converter almost as big as the projector). At around 10 lumens (standard projectors are usually over 1000) you'll need to use it in a dark room, so don't expect to see much in subdued lighting. That said, the image quality is good on VGA and Video, but not as good on still images. Ironically I found using a matt white surface better than a white reflective projection screen. Excel worksheet numbers can be difficult to read but presentation with 18+ fonts look great.
A fine and handy machine but with limitations if you have more than 5 people.
amazing
Brilliant, but does need low light conditions to work well. It's fantastic to carry around in case the place you are going lacks a projector, but the bulb as you might expect is only small, so you have to be close to the wall and in a dark room. I've watched movies with this and it was superb. What more can you expect from something so small and relatively so cheap? I'm very happy with it.
Hint: buy an extension video cable from Maplin: the one they supply is ridiculously short!
operational quality & practical use
Unfortunately, unless the room is very dark the screen brightness & sharpness is extremely poor even when smaller than 38" wide. The lap top screen brightnes is much better than the projected picture.
The projector has a disadvantage requiring a very dark room, perhaps a bit of a "gimmick" being small? a laptop is the better option.
