Seven Star Green is grown from the same rootstock as Rebsie's first album Mind The Gap, and features the usual ethereal psych-folk ambience and soaring, haunting vocals. But this album finds a new complexity and sophistication, particularly in the instrumentation. Daniel Staniforth brings innovative and expressive cello to a number of songs, sumptuous flamenco guitar to others, while Dick Langford plays fire-fingered electric.
About the Artist
Rebsie Fairholm is an English singer with a soft and haunting voice which touches the listener on a deep level. Her solo albums are rooted in darkly evocative cornfield-edge psych-folk, inspired by the land and the lingering spirits of its ancestors.
