Customer Reviews

Highly recommended, wonderful book!5
I am absolutely thrilled to bits with this book. Budget meals has 8 weeks of different dinner and desserts, broken up into weeks with a complete weekly shopping list. I love the fact i can go shopping with this list and have everything i need for my family dinners and desserts for a week. No more having to stop off at the shop for last minute ingredients! Ms Saunders also explains how to make up your own meal plans and adapt them to suit your family.

At the beginning of the book are recipes for basics such as pastry and biscuits. This is far superior to other budget books i have read. All the recipes are easy to make and involve little fuss, yet they are scrumptious. Favourites with my family are cranberry pork, BBQ chicken and sausage and apple pie.

Buy this cook book, its the only one you need!

Great Book for Busy People and a "Must Have" for Kids Just Leaving Home!5
When I received "Budget Meals" I thought it looked similar to many other cookbooks I already own, but my opinion changed when I opened it up and read the contents page. Here really is a book that does what it says on the cover, it provides recipes for meals that you can make on a budget - and not only that, it gives you weekly shopping lists for each suggested weekly meal plan so that you can even budget your housekeeping accordingly!

I really love the no nonsense recipes that "Budget Meals" contains. Often cookery books have recipes with great sounding names and lavish photographs, but they take far more preparation time than I've got available. Often they also call for tiny pinches of this or that which mean you have to buy a whole package if you don't already have them in your cupboard. This book doesn't have these problems. The recipes are basic standards that will keep your mealtimes varied but won't put you to unnecessary expense.

Apart from the 8 week meal plan, scattered throughout the book are tips and advice, and best of all for busy mums, some of the recipes even include a slow-cooker option after the normal cooking method one.

Kimberly Saunders has created a book here that's a must have for anyone trying to feed their family on a budget, and certainly something that you should give any of your kids about to move into their first home! Can't wait for the follow up!

An Excellent Cookery Book5
This book is brilliant for men! Firstly it has a weekly shopping list and then it tells you how to cook everything, Simple! At the house im living in there are 4 of us sharing and we all put around 20 quid in total in the pot each week, one of us goes shopping and then we all take turns in cooking. Its good food and really cheap too!

Thanks!
