A Must-own DVD for Marley fans
This DVD is loaded with Bob's best tracks unlike the Island releases.
Althouugh I have been listening to Bob's music for 20 years or so I wasnt aware he had performed live for the Survival album.
The video / audio are okay when we consider the period of time the video was taken.
I cant imagine why Island is delaying the release of greatest hits like "Babylon by Bus" and "At the lyceum"
legend lives on
This DVD features the show from the Santa Barbara County Bowl, November 1979. Bob looks physically tired at this performance, but he delivers some fantastic renditions of his classics, I Shot The Sheriff, Ambush and Running Away/Crazy Baldhead (with it`s surprise reprise) are particularly good.
Picture quality is OK, although varies from song to song a little - the previously unseen tracks are noticable sharper - while the sound is generally excellent.
The extra documentry is really just the backstage interview with Bob and Tyrone Downey padded out with a light Rasta/Marley history and reuse of concert footage.
A good DVD release, although the cover art could have been better!

Original quality
I just wanted to tell people how you should look at video quality. This footage is pretty old we didn't have the best camera's at the time. So of course the video quality is not going to be pristine and beautifully captured. You can't improve already mediocre video quality. So ya, don't listen to the people before, its perfectly fine for the time maintains its original video and sound of the time.
