waste of time
I watched this a few months ago and was hugely disapointed. Basically all this DVD does is explain that during the late 70s there were a few Home-Grown i.e. English groups playing Reggae. They were different from the the Jamaican artists in so much as they drew on thier everyday experiences living in England. Thats it............a few uninteresting interviews and very little else.
They mention the growth of local sound systems and show one being set up, and again thats it. I really wanted to see loads more on the sound systems...live footage, Notting Hill etc. but nowt, and not very much of the bands actually playing live . Nothing on the record shops or labels either.
Could have been so much better.
