Excellent music for meditation or chilling out,5
Stonehenge is a wonderful CD if you want something relaxing and not too demanding to listen to. It is great for meditation, yoga sessions or just generally chilling out. There's a good bass note running through which makes it less bland than some of the 'whale' or 'tinkly water' relaxation CDs.

Like the monument itself...it has stood the test of time5
This has got to be the most underated New Age album of all time. If you are looking for this kind of music then this is as good as it gets. It is great for visualisation or hypnosis. Unlike so many others in the genre, it has a positive, optimistic and minimal feel. Yes, the tracks are similar but so are different stages of a real 'Celtic' journey. 'First Light' has a very special feel, almost spiritual. I feel sorry for the artists themselves, Runestone, as this album went almost unnoticed when released in the mid 1990s.
Recent attemps to recapture the brilliance of 'Stonehenge' are just not quite in the same league, apart from the track 'Nature's Gift', but then there is the other early album 'Mysteries' - also a classic.

Good quality druid-like music4
This CD I will recommend for fans of more druid-type/Cetlic music, and it's a good companion for meditation, relaxation and those walks in the countryside on a summer late afternoon. The album does well to capture the feeling and atmosphere of being in an ancient site (like stonehenge) at the same time employing synthetic sounds and giving it more of that NEW age character.

Most of the tracks are quite 'samey' though, and the album does lack width but it's still a worthwhile purchase and the track 'The Moon's Gift'(best on the album in my opinion) is a must listen.
