Outstanding, it really does work
I have tried many CDs like this before but none are as effective as this one. I listen to this every night and gentle dose off to sleep, unlike most relaxation and sleep inducement CD's which create sounds the ear actively listens to (keeping you awake) this music manages to lull you into sleep as you listen passivley to the beautiful natural sounds. I would recommend this to anyone who has trouble sleeping, I guarntee you will not hear the CD stop.

Useful for Meditation and Relaxation
The aim of the CD is to lower the listener's breathing, heart rate and predominant brain wave activity to those associated with deep sleep. This is performed by a combination of natural sounds, music and binaural beats. The natural sound is surf on all five tracks, with the addition seagulls on the first two. The music is composed to be simple and smooth, yet it doesn't sound banal. The binaural beats induce brain waves at the beat frequency between notes, primarily those in the bass range . I don't use this CD for sleep inducement, but as an aid to relaxation and meditation. My favourite tracks, "light of the moon" and "celestial glow", both have a delicate beauty and just melt away stress.

Beautiful
I have quite a few relaxation and sleep CD's but this one is my favourite. The beautifully realistic recording of surf drowns out any disturbing noises and the music weaves in and out of the waves so perfectly that both nature sound and music are in complete harmony. My only regret: I've never heard anything beyond the second track as I'm asleep by then.....
