Manufacturer's Description

Now that you can buy movies from the iTunes Store and sync them to your iPod, the whole world is your theatre. With a 80GB iPod in hand, those movies fit comfortably next to TV shows, new iPod games, podcasts, audiobooks, photo albums, and, of course, an entire library of music — up to 20,000 songs, in fact. iPod is a pocket-size prodigy.

Watch this space

How much can your pocket hold? That’s up to you and your iPod. It holds up to 20,000 songs, up to 25,000 photos, and up to 100 hours of video — or any combination of each.(1) So you can browse movies on the iTunes Store, download the ones you want, then sync it to your iPod. Same goes for TV episodes, new iPod games, songs, best-selling audiobooks, and an entire universe of free podcasts. Go ahead. Fill ’er up.

Suit yourself

From cases to car kits, customise your iPod with accessories made especially for it. Pick up an iPod Universal Dock for more convenient syncing. Add an iPod Hi-Fi for room-filling sound. Sync photos on the go with an iPod Camera Connector. Attach a voice recorder to take audio notes.

Play all day
With all that music at your fingertips, you may never want to stop listening. Lucky thing your iPod plays audio for up to 20 hours.(2) Or, if you’d rather watch, you can feast your eyes on movies and TV shows for up to six-and-a-half hours.(3)

Pack light

It might be a miracle. Otherwise, it’s hard to explain exactly how an 80GB iPod can be the same size as the 60GB model before it. However it happened, it means you can carry your entire music collection — plus a nice selection of video — absolutely everywhere you go. And a 60% brighter, more vibrant display gives your album art, photos, and video extra oomph.

Search and enjoy

Finding what you want to hear among 20,000 songs could be quite a chore — unless you have an iPod. A new interface lets you search your iPod using the patented Click Wheel. And if you’re a fan of live albums, classical works, or anything that sounds best when it’s continuous, iPod supports gapless playback that seamlessly transitions from one song to another.

    I LOVE MY IPOD5
Absolute quality. Initially I was worried about spending £170 on this but 3 months down the line all my fears have been put to rest.

In reality its pretty impossibly to fill an 80GB ipod (i'd like to meet someone who has) but you're paying an extra £60ish for an extra 75GB of memory over the average nano.

I would only recommend this to people who see music as a hobby and have a vast music library to fill this baby up.

There's a minor drawback with the video player because you have to do some converting crap but it's just a teeny tiny chink in the armoury of what is a fantastic multimedia device.

Screen size is good, click wheel is predictable amazing, battery life could be longer, aesthetically pleasing, invest in some quality headphones and you are there!

    Long live ipod

    ipods cost the earth1

How much is an ipod really worth?
ipods are one of the least environmentally friendly gadgets available. According to Apple they are only meant to last 12 months and they are designed to prevent customers replacing the toxic batteries when they wear out. So the 10 million ipods sold are all destined to sit in a landfills for the next million years leaking toxic chemicals.
Environmentalists have been criticising Apple since the ipod's original release.
    How have Apple responded?
By using less packaging and boasting that they are green. What are they on?
The following is taken from Thegreenguide.com:

"But while Apple declares that they are `committed to reducing the environmental impact of the work [they] do and the products [they] create' the iPod is not designed to have its toxin-laden battery replaced or removed. Apple can live up to their environmental commitment by making all iPod's green.
How to Make a Green Apple
    * Produce toxin-free iPods
    * Design iPods so batteries can be easily and affordably replaced
    * Provide take back and recycling options for iPods and other electronics"

    Just don't buy one.

I had an ipod. It lasted 2 years. It wasn't worth costing the earth.

Why Buy A New Ipod CLASSIC When You Can Get It FREE!!!!!,

Yes we all know iPod are the best for MP3 players, they're stylish, portable and user friendly..

But Apple can't make REAL portable video players.. Archos have had a touch screen portable video player out for a few months, with a hard drive TEN TIMES bigger than this..

So final verdict, I would not pay for this, but if you could get it free then go for it, go to www.ipodgifts.notlong.com to get your free ipod classic!
