At last - a book with what in needed to know
This book was one of 3 I purchased after becoming interested in narrowboats to a degree of needing to know the ins and outs, pros and cons etc of narrowboats. Being an engineer (non boating) and also a camper van owner i had a bit of knowledge of the type of systems that may be found but needed more detailed, in depth info such as Engines - what types do you get, makers, electricss, boat construction, legal side and the type of stuff boaters would probally talk about over a pint.
I,m glad to say i found all the answers in this book. It is a mine of information and is loaded with pictures and technical info about all the things found in a typical narrowboat or similar craft.
There are appendixes with boat yards, engine makers and types - the lot. and a very helpful section about buying your first boat.
I can only think that the author Graham Booth must have a wealth of experience judging by the info in this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone as a brilliant addition to thier library and it will be put to use in mine for years to come.
Well done
