Brilliant
Very good straighteners, comfy to use and adjustable heat for different types of hair and for different styles! Only take seconds to heat up and there is no need to continually re-straighten parts. Straightness lasts all day, doesnt wear off. I've had them for over 6 months now and there havent been any problems. I recommend them.

reasonable straightener
The straighteners straighten well for the price you are paying. It only goes up to 200 rather than the better 230 ones you can get, so not as strong as some on the market. I got this as it also curls, although it can be difficult to get it to curl at times, and easier just to use curling tongs if thats what you want it for. It is good for styling and creating waves, flicks etc though! I already had a remington straightener that was similar which broke after a year, so am pleased this one comes with a guarantee. It is also better, and I payed less for it!!

Pulled my hair, didn't curl or straighten
Got this to replace a very cheap and simple ceramic straightener. This straightener does heat up very quickly and the little catch that holds it closed is useful. My hair is shoulder length and I simply could not get a consistent curl out of it, and burned my fingers while trying. The temperature gauge is where you would grasp the straighteners to curl with it. Didn't work on my hair, or my daughter's which is longer and thicker. Plus, it tore at my hair when I tried to straighten with it and didn't straighten as well as my old ceramic plates.

The heat proof case and slip cover are nice and good service from the Amazon seller, so the star is for that, otherwise for me this was a waste of money.
