Money well spent
I recently bought this straightener, and I'm quite satisfied with the purchase. It does heat up very quickly, glides through the hair smoothly, and it definitely reaches a higher temperature than my previous, non-ceramic straightener (although I can't obviously certify for the 230°C). Even with a terribly frizzy hair like mine, I could reproduce an almost salon-like straight blow dry, that even resisted against the pony tail. However, this is no GHD, and if your hair is really difficult to tame, you may need to use it more than the recommended two times for each tendril. All in all, for such a small sum, I can't complain; you do need a decent blow dry before using this straightener, but after all this, your hair feels incredibly silky. The straightener has universal voltage, which can be handy if you happen to travel outside Europe, and comes with an apparently heat proof pouch - I honestly won't test this "feature" just out of safety -I'm happy just as it is!

It works!
I'd had my old Remington straighteners for over three years, and they worked so well that I never bought an upgrade. I was very upset when they broke and I finally had to replace them, so I decided on another Remington model, as they had been good value for money in the past.

It was a choice well made. My hair is extremely frizzy, and with my old straighteners it used to take well over 45 minutes to straighten immediately after washing, however now it takes little over 15 minutes. The auto shut-off is a good feature, and saved you stressing over whether you might come home to a burnt down wreck because you forgot to turn off your straighteners.

The heat proof bag I have not checked, although I have no doubts that it will do the job just fine! The straighteners heat up quickly, and the LCD indicator is useful as you know when they have reached the right temperature. Whilst the overall effect is much the same as I had with my old straighteners (albeit maybe a little shinier), it takes much less time to get there!

Remington will always be my straightener of choice. They may be no GHD's, but they're very close, and much better value for money!

I love these!!
I bought these for a friend's birthday present, when they arrived i couldn't resist using them, just once! they made my hair look like i had just come from the hair dressers - a look i had never achieved at home before! I loved them so much i am still trying to buy myself a pair with the same value for money that Amazon had last week! Love them!! thought my straighteners were good until I tried these! I wont bother with the expensive ones now, no need!!
