Amazing salon standard results - best i ever used!!!
After reading reviews on the original wet to straight, straighteners , i purchased these at 50% off , thanks amazon, so not only a bargain but fantastic , fast , hairdresser standard results!! Did not believe they would be so much better than my slim ceramic £100 a pair straighteners. These will not disappoint you, i have lots of course wavy and unruly hair, it never looked smooth and sleek after i had blow dried it and straightened it myself, until now!! Not only do i not blow dry it, saving me getting arm ache and over heated, but i just wash , leave for a while to air dry a little , then straighten, very quick to do also with the wide plates. Highly recommended. Well done Remington!!

Perfect for ALL
I got these straighteners only a few days ago and I've only used them a couple of times so far but WOW. I'm in LOVE with them. This is a big thing coming from someone who vowed NEVER to use hair straighteners. I had this big hate for straighteners, 1: because I was told that they really damage my kind of hair and 2: because my friend is addicted to hers and she takes about 3 hours to straighten her hair and her hair is SHORT (she's obviously not using these straighteners).

I have the thickest afro hair, it is usually SO hard to tame of a morning, I literally spend hours just trying to get it to sit properly, let alone be frizz free (I gave up on that idea a long time ago). But after using these straighteners for the first time my hair went from brittle and dry (even with tremendous amounts of softening products) to silky soft and straight as a board. I LOOOOOVE IT!

After 24 hours it still feels full of life and soft to the touch and yes, even tossing and turning in my sleep didn't affect my new super straight tresses. Obviously it wont last forever but even two days is record breaking for my hair.

The steam vents on the straighteners are genius, unlike my mates pair (the 3hour ones) they dry and straighten your hair at the same time, but direct the heat away so it doesn't burn your hair, plus it's steaming it at the same time.

Any person with afro hair will know that steaming is a MUST for healthy hair and these straighteners combine steaming, straightening and styling all in one go (they double as tongs if used in the right way) so not only are you saving a bucket load of money (and electricity, out the window goes the hair dryer) but you're getting uber luscious locks with none of the nasty chemicals usually needed to straighten.

In addition to all this, what I was MOST impressed with was the safety and time it took to straighten my hair. My hair is medium-long and it took me all of 30 minutes to straighten my whole head AND I went over it about three times (not necessary, but I used one going over to dry, one with sleek and shine product and another to style).

The safety mechanisms are AWESOME. This is the FIRST time I've ever straightened my hair and not one burnt finger or ear (my friend ALWAYS has burns from her straighteners). It has a thick plastic covering and because the plates are so wide it's hard to even get your hands near the heated part. Not only this, but the temperature buttons have a key lock so you don't accidentally turn the temperature up or down whilst straightening (unfortunately for me I only realised half way through the first session so it was slightly annoying as the buttons are RIGHT where you hold it, but I'll know for next time).

Overall, I think if these uber straighteners can work so well on my ridiculously rebellious hair, they can work for anybody. Considering I'm a hair care/straightening novice and found these straighteners a no brainer, then I think they'd suit any and every body. I can't WAIT to show off to my friend.

I'll have to get her a pair for her birthday or something, because three hours straightening your hair (plus, burnt hair and burnt fingers) is just unacceptable when you have quality straighteners like these, that are cheap as chips, with a 3 year guarantee (a DEFINITE plus) and that give you salon worthy results in literally minutes.

It does what it says on the box!!
Bought these to replace an old pair of straighteners that were more than three times the price of these. I have shoulder length, thick, coarse and wavy hair. Despite some initial cynicism ("Doesn't this mean I'll be boiling my hair??")these really are the business. Took my hair from quite damp to dry in a relatively short time, nice and silky smooth, and without even a trace of the scent of charred hair clinging to me! Would have liked a little more information in the box - I was wary of using serum on my wet hair before styling - but liked the LCD window and the audible beep, and the fact that I can set the temperature. And absolutely loved the look and the fact I am having a REALLY Good Hair Day!

Several months on: Still delighted! Find they give the best results on quite wet hair - again, counter intuitively! I wanted to add that my hairdresser cannot believe the improvement in my hair's condition. BTW, I discovered how to lock the temp by accident - you push both the + and - buttons which I didn't understand from the printed instructions, but that just might be me being dense! Have also noticed that the shower of little bits of broken hair I experienced with my old straighteners (even after using heat protection products) is a thing of the past.
