The ACCO Rexel Style Plus may be the most stylish home office shredder on the market. With sleek curves and styling cues taken from the iPod, this compact shredder nonetheless manages to deliver even more substance than it has style, and can reduce up to seven sheets of paper to confetti-cut in moments. Shredding all kinds of sensitive documents into 4mm x 23mm means you can improve confidentiality and security for the home or small office. This machine is certified to security level S3 (on a scale of S1 to S5), and is therefore appropriate for shredding confidential documents.

The Style Plus has an automatic start and stop, as well as a reverse function. The entry slot design makes it simple to feed in the documents to be shredded. In addition, this model is capable of shredding credit cards, and doesn’t need oiling.

The 12 litre bin has a clear window, so you can see when it needs emptying. To empty, simply pull out the horizontally-opening bin. The smallness of the ACCO Rexel confetti cut, however, means you will not need to empty this shredder as frequently as conventional models which use a ribbon-cut. Compact enough to sit under the desk, this model also comes with an ergonomic carrying handle.

This model comes with a manufacturer’s two year warranty and an additional 5 year warranty on the Style cutters.

Third time lucky
After having a couple of other brands of cross-cut shredders, finally, I've found one that is up to the task. Recommended.

Rexel Style + Confetti Cut Shredder

I have found that the Rexel shredder is perfect for the home security shredding, i.e. personal letters and addresses. Especially the cross cutting type. It also does not block up as the previous one did. I would definitely recommend it.

Great shredder and does NOT require oiling. Does not accept staples or paperclips.
It does what it's supposed to do, gives a consistent cross-cut shred so you're left with inch-long strips, even accepts credit cards, but doesn't do staples or paper clips, and according to the manual should only be used for three minutes of continuous shredding at a time. Shreddings might make good hamster bedding!

One thing to be aware of is that the instructions explicitly state that this shredder does not require and should not be oiled; I wasn't aware of this so bought the oil at the same time (as suggested by the Amazon product page for this shredder) and then found out from reading the instructions that I'd bought the oil unnecessarily. **Do NOT buy oil for this shredder!**

Looks pretty stylish and is easy to empty and move around thanks to large hand-holes. Don't be misled by the photo though - it's purely a black and white product, there are no yellow parts to it. ;-)
