does exactly what i want it to do
I charged my husband with purchasing a docking station with speakers, nothing with complicated controls or displays but that looks nice and does the job well - something for the kitchen so I can listen to my iPhone whilst preparing his dinner ;)

hubby bought this and it was delivered today. it does exactly what I want it to do. its light, simple and fit for purpose. i had in my mind something rectangular but this funky tube is cool. the controls are simple and clear, and i like the speakers being on either end, so I can put it on the breakfast bar and the sound is directed to both the kitchen and dining room. perfect.

i like the idea of adding batteries to it so that it can be used as travel speakers; it's light and compact. i probably wont use that functionality but its nice to know for the future.

i am now going to ask him to buy a silver one for my bedside table. P.S. do they come in purple???

Great Unit - unless you want to use the docking station..!!
Depending on what you are using this for its either a great buy or a waste of money.

I bought this primarily for my laptop because as we all know laptop inbult speakers are terrible.

This little unit gives a great sound output and is perfect as a laptop speaker, highly recommended....

Now... If you are buying this as an Ipod speaker BEWARE.. I have an Ipod Touch and although I usually use the earphones I thought it may be useful to use the docking station and get two uses from the unit, however the connection is TERRIBLE, you have to jiggle the thing all over the place and then the sound is only intermittent. I also felt that the Itouch is too heavy for this unit, there is nothing supporting it except the little connector at the bottom.It all seems top heavy and ready to topple over at any second.

Over a very short period of time this is going to ruin your socket on Itouch so I would NEVER connect it to that again.

I will point out though that you can connect your Ipod using the jack cable that comes with the unit so it can still be used for the the Ipod and via this connection it works fine (except your Ipod wont be charged up of course)

A lot more thought needs to go into the design of the docking station part otherwise this is a really good unit.

Big sound from a small box!!
Bought this to go with my Grandaughter's new iPod for her bedroom. For such a small package with price to match it really delivers! Even at peak volume there was no discernable distortion and the sound filled our large front room. Controls are simple to use and the added bonus of battery power makes it very portable. Nice range of colours, I got it in pink and the finish is very good. All in all a nice stocking filler which will probably get a lot of use!!!
