Product Description

Following the great success of his previous book The Sea, Philip Plisson offers here a new vision of the worldâs oceans, with mostly hitherto unpublished photographs that represent the fruits of twenty-five yearsâ work. Plisson captures the sea in all its moods and guises in his evocative photographs, twelve in glorious panoramic fold-outs. This book will captivate any reader with a fascination for those vast expanses of blue and an urge to share the photographerâs adventures and enthusiasm; it evokes dreams of the sea, the sea that enthrals us all.

Poetic sea5
Actually, I bought this book for a friend, liked so much, and bought it again for me! Really great pictures, that don't show just blue seas and waves, but picturesquely and artfully display the interaction, the everlasting embranchment of seas and lands. Ten 4-page folded pictures, one in start of each chapter. Human perspective, concise and very interesting information and historical "strokes and bites". Having read this book, you will be left with a taste of the life of the people who live of the sea and near the sea. You will be left with a sea breeze, pictures of sunrises, smell of a sailor's cup of coffee, the sense of the hot sun and the cool sea.

ok: Buy this if: You want to browse it sitting in the sun or fireplace with a cup of coffee and mind-travel. If you are an artist, or have an artistic or poetic "flame", you will get great inspiration.

Excellent value money book

x: Don't buy it: If you just want to have a look at pictures of sea and oceans.

wonderful production4
I bought this book for a friend but wished I had kept it for myself. A really lavish large-format book with briliiant photographs that capture the drama and atmosphere of the sea in all its many moods. The fold-out pages are particularly dramatic. Perfect for anyone who loves the sea.

This book is fantastic, as a painter I find it is full of wonderful moody images of the sea , waves and water.
