Customer Reviews

Could have been a better debut2
This song is a grower and even the hardest critics would probably agree but I am left feeling somewhat disapointed with this debut single. In fact I don't get the fascination with Cheryl Cole at all? Was it just the public sympathy vote when Ashley cheated on her or is she hailed as the next Diana like icon?! No idea, I must be leaving a generation behind - and I'm only 27!!

A disappointing shocker.1
I couldn't believe how bad this song is when I heard it. And she even sings in that awful accent. Did she get the song out of the "not good enough for a Girls Aloud" bin? To cap it off, this appalling piece of pop trash will probably end up being the biggest selling single of the year. But in a country where Kate Price can be nominated for mother of the year, perhaps the success of Cheryl Cole makes sense. Lyrically, a 7 year old could have done better. Be assured, they won't be playing this rubbish on any radio stations in 2 years time.

Style, not substance3
`Wow. FIGHT FOR THIS LOVE is totally different to the music she does with Girls Aloud' many people cried. No. No it's really not.
FIGHT FOR THIS LOVE could easily be a outtake from Tangled Up or Out Of Control.

I gave the disappointingly average FIGHT FOR THIS LOVE a fair chance, but it's failed to grow on me. It's also the song which has revealed how poor her voice is; she's had as many vocal altering effects as Paris Hlton.

I say disappointing as it's something I'd expect to be released as a 4th single from a singer; OK, but not memorable. FIGHT FOR THIS LOVE just relies on plenty of autotune and a glossy video, combined with Chezza being pretty, skinny, having hideous extensions and employing stylists. Great for a page 3 girl, but it has sod all to do with her 'singing'.

I heard it hundreds of times before I could remember a few lines from the song. Not promising for a debut single.

No - I'm not jealous, or anything silly like that. Why must we just be dismissed as petty, catty bitches for voicing a honest opinion?

But hey; it's not all bad news for Chezza. As she already has a strong fan base from Girls Aloud and the media is brown nosing her - stemming from her personal life, which shouldn't be a factor in an ideal world - so she'll no doubt end up with a top 5 hit.
