Don't leave home without it.5
As with all DK guides, these gorgeous guidebooks help you find all the quirky wee places not shown in other more "worthy" guidebooks. We had already been to Budapest 20 years ago, but our last visit was much, much better and it was largely down to this book. Its pages of suggested walks are brilliant. Not only are actual places to visit pointed out but also interesting features such as unusual sculptures, details on buildings, etc. Each has a history section which is a fascinating bonus compared to many other guides and there are also sections on the surrounding areas so any trips out of town are covered too, although not in the same depth. The illustrations and layout are attractive and easy to follow. I would never go anywhere without one of these DK guides and have a fair collection. Even once you get home they are extremely readable!

Great book5
Used this book on a long weekend in Budapest. Found it invaluable for planning our days out, and in understanding the places we went to, as well as things we discovered along the way. DK books are a favourite of mine and the eyewitness guides are always a must, over the "top 10" as they give so much more info. Having bought top 10's before, ive always been disappointed as i wanted to know more.

Limited2
I usually use the AA Spiral guides, but after reading a damming review of it, I did not purchase one. This had good reviews so I bought this. I found innaccuracies in it and it was only of limited use. At the hotel we stopped in they let guests borrow guide books and guess what, we spent most of the holiday using the AA guide which was FAR better. I left this one at the hotel with corrections on it.
