Long respected for its scientific authority, pedagogy, and clinical relevance to medical education, this comprehensive embryology text features outstanding illustrations and clear and concise writing. The brand-new Tenth Edition covers all aspects of embryology of interest to medical students and instructors and includes clinical correlates that provide information on birth defects and other clinical entities directly related to embryologic concepts. This extensively revised edition features new full-color photographs of clinical conditions and updated embryo images/photographs created using newer technologies. It also features new online USMLE-style review questions through Connection / The Point. A new introduction chapter on development includes molecular biology. This edition's larger page size improves readability. A bound-in CD-ROM, Simbryo, presents animations of embryologic system development.

Good investment!
As a medical student, this book has solved the mystery to embryology & made the subject understandable & actually enjoyable.
Concise, well written, clear pictures and easy to read. (What more do you want?)
Q&A at the end of each chapter really helps re-emphasising the main points.
One of the best embryology book around!
Get this book with the Simbryo CD.
This is a great embryology book. It is well written, detailed and easy to understand. Each chapter has clinical correlates and problems to solve, to reinforce what was learnt. The diagrams are great. The best feature of this book is the animated CD-ROM - SIMBRYO with animation of the embryological development of each system as well as the early weeks - gastrulation etc. At the back of the book are the answers to the problems at the end of each chapter with full explanations. This book makes studying embryology fun.
Langmans Medical Embryology
Really wordy book, quite hard to understand embryology from a book alone due to it not being able to show every process of the folding etc of the disk and movement of parts of the embryo. It tells you everything but a really good supplement is The Embryonic Disk from UCL. Made things much easier. Its probably the best book out there but there is still room for improvement by someone out there.
