En route to funny frequent flyers, dangerous ostriches and heartbreaking stories
"En route" is a book filled with the strangest, scariest and most heartwarming stories. The book is a collection of some of the calls the author and his partners have been sent to over the years. Weird calls (like the killer ostrich), funny calls that will make you giggle, and stories so sad, you would have to have a heart of rock not to shed a tear. In between the storytelling the author displays an impressive respect for his patients and their families, and it becomes clear that life as a paramedic is much more than the life-and-death situations we see on television and films.
