Can't fault it!
I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to write this one. I received my 19DV556DB last week & I absolutely LOVE it!

I already have a large screen Toshiba Regza in the lounge and I can honestly say this little number gives my 37" set a run for its money. The picture quality is fab - almost as crisp as my other one, which is an 1080. The sound isn't tinny like some portables but is also crystal clear, which means you can enjoy your DVDs without that irritating vibrating sound. Add to this a sleek, stylish casing (which doesn't draw attention to itself), idiot-proof set up (I was watching Freeview in under 5 mins) & easy to use remote (I still haven't read any of the instructions) and I think you have your perfect bedroom TV. One very happy customer signing off!

Excellent!
I got it last week, great quality image, the sound isn't bad, it is in our bedroom and iti is enough, it plays DVDs and DivX v6 videos, multiple ports available (VGA port to connect to PC inc. audio port for PC), we are going to get one more for the kitchen as it is light and it goes with the rest of furniture.

Exactly what I hoped for
I bought this digital tv to replace an excellent old analogue tv. I wanted one for the kitchen, and for it to be portable, thus the 19 inch size choice. But I am amazed by how this small tv delivers a generous and sharp picture so well to surpass my 26 inch analogue! I find I'm using it in the sittingroom and enjoying the picture size. Having looked at many others at retail, I was sceptical the picture quality wouldn't measure up to my old tv, but I have found this to be way better in fact. The sound quality is also clear and very satisfactory, perhaps if anything it could be a fraction louder. But, this isn't enough to give a negative review, it is much more important that the sound quality is clear and of a high standard. We have subsequently bought another brand for a rental property, and price was a factor in our decision. Although it was cheaper, there was a marked difference in the sound and picture compared to the Toshiba 19DV556DB. I prefer this model.
