Editorial Reviews

Review
"Lucy Mallows delivers a brilliantly informative, yet concise guide. I got the feeling she must have spent a lifetime exploring every town, valley and craggy peak of this magnificent country. Everything a traveler could possibly need to know is here; from which trains to catch to arrive at a chosen destination, to reviews on hotels, interesting things to check out, places to eat, even things to avoid. I especially enjoyed her own personal comments, which are sprinkled throughout the book. Thank you, Lucy!" --J. Kleinschmidt

"I've read your book from cover to cover - and love it!" --Richard Andolsen

"Good coverage, excellent maps, well informed." --Mr. S. Barton, London

Customer Reviews

Well-researched and thorough5
I just bought this guide book and I was very impressed by the detail. I have never found another guide that dealt with Slovakia in such a thorough manner. It has been well-researched and well-written and includes some interesting and amusing boxes on Slovak culture and history. I am thrilled that somebody has finally discovered the Slovak countryside, especially the regions in the east. I recommend this book and also that travellers try the Spis and Saris regions, plus beautiful cities like Bardejov, Levoca, Kezmarok, Presov, Kosice and Zilina.
