Great DVD!!! A must for all the "SPRINGBOKS" or "ALL BLACKS" fans.5
This is the complete DVD (as some years ago was the Video) with all the highlights from the "Rebel Tour" of the "New Zealand All Blacks" (nicknamed for the tour as "Cavaliers") to "South Africa" in 1986.

The twelve matches of the tour (including the four "Test" between the "Cavaliers" and the "Springboks") were hard-fought and nail-biting.

The rythm of the matches were very similar to the professional days that are living now. A high speed game, with high skills levels and of course with many talented players (stars of the history of these two great rugby nations) such as: New Zealand's Andy Dalton, Hika Reid, Andy Haden, Jock Hobbs, Murray Mexted, Grant Fox, Warwick Taylor, Craig Green... and South Africa's Uli Schmidt, Flippie van der Merwe, Schalk Burger Sr. (the father of the current flanker of the "SPRINGBOKS"), Louis Moolman, Wahl Bartmann, Gert Smal, Jannie Breedt, Naas Botha, Carel & Michael du Plessis, Danie Gerber...

As I wrote as title, without doubt this DVD is a must for any fan of RUGBY and specially for the "SPRINGBOKS" or "NEW ZEALAND" ("ALL BLACKS") fans.

A Must Have5
This will obviously appeal most to Springbok supporters and to NZ supporters, but well worth adding to your rugby collection. The DVD provides a lot of context around the world of rugby, interviews with greats like Colin Meads, Ian Kirkpatrick, Danie Craven etc.

It needs to be remembered that at this point in time, SA beat every nation, including All Blacks, more than they beat SA; The AB's never won a series in SA at this point; It was genetrally accepted that the ultimate rivalry in world rugby was between SA and NZ.

It is well presented, and my compliments to Duke. The video quality is good if you consider the original recordings - SABC was well respected for the quality of their sports broadcasts.

I will enjoying the DVD on a periodic basis.

Brilliant5
This DVD is just brilliant, far more than I ever hoped for when buying it.

It features so much good footage and probably the best of all are the interviews with coaches, players etc. away from the field. Back then they spoke with a lot more passion for the game of Rugby, not the modern 'I think the other team is good and it will be a tough match' jazz.

Young rugby fans should definitely see this DVD as it will give them a glimpse of how things were on and off the field in the amateur days.
