Customer Reviews
Straightforward, healthy recipes
The great thing about this book is that all of the recipes are pretty simple (generally <10 ingredients), they taste good, they're healthy and they really do work just as they're described.
People that would love this book are those with busy lives and limited time to spend in the kitchen but who still want to look after themselves and eat well. Not the book to buy if you're looking for flashy dishes with hundreds of ingredients to impress at dinner parties, but just the ticket if you want to know how to throw together a tasty nutritious meal in under half an hour.
Not at all what it says on the tin!
"Eating for England" suggests an insight into the dieting approach of the England rugby team. I was expecting something of a scientific study along with perhaps a few example recipes that helped the England team on their journey to glory - how disappointing!
"The recipes have been designed with your enjoyment in mind and therefore do not necessarily follow the very strict protocols which would be required for the nutritional needs of an elite athlete."
Quite simply England rugby are supporitng a fundraising exercise by putting their face to a recipe book that doesn't live up to its name. Buy if you want to support the charity otherwise don't waste your money.
WOW - Find out how the boys prepared to win the World Cup
Wow, this book is amazing. There are loads of "scrummy" recipies and nutritional advice on how the England boys prepared for the World Cup.
Loads of pictures and a forward from Clive Woodward - get it now!
The other bonus is that the profits from the sale of this book all help charity! Its been written in aid of the British Wheelchair Sports Foundation who organise sporting events for wheelchair athletes of all ages and abilities.
Buy it - great book for a great cause!!!!
