Customer Reviews

Straightforward, healthy recipes5
The great thing about this book is that all of the recipes are pretty simple (generally <10 ingredients), they taste good, they're healthy and they really do work just as they're described.

People that would love this book are those with busy lives and limited time to spend in the kitchen but who still want to look after themselves and eat well. Not the book to buy if you're looking for flashy dishes with hundreds of ingredients to impress at dinner parties, but just the ticket if you want to know how to throw together a tasty nutritious meal in under half an hour.

WOW - Find out how the boys prepared to win the World Cup5
Wow, this book is amazing. There are loads of "scrummy" recipies and nutritional advice on how the England boys prepared for the World Cup.

Loads of pictures and a forward from Clive Woodward - get it now!

The other bonus is that the profits from the sale of this book all help charity! Its been written in aid of the British Wheelchair Sports Foundation who organise sporting events for wheelchair athletes of all ages and abilities.

Buy it - great book for a great cause!!!!

If your'e looking for a GI diet, this is good for starters ...5
Eating for England: High Performance Recipes for a Healthy Life (not Just for Rugby Players)

I've just re-visited this book and as I've been madly recommending it to everyone I thought it best to check it's still available and it is, so it must be good!

The recipes inside are suitable for just about everyone; for individuals or huge hungry families. I think it's the best introduction around to low GI (glycaemic index) food and can help prevent those suger surges, those sugar highs and lows. If you're trying to lose weight, this can help, just keep an eye on portion size.

The Breakfast in a Glass on page 122 is a no brainer for people on the go. Drink it anytime anywhere ~ I've even done it for lunch on occasions. All the recipes are well thought out and do-able. Great stuff!
