Video Description
RWC 2007 Official Review is the definitive story of the most exciting and unpredictable tournament in the event's history, featuring every incisive run, defence-splitting pass and bone-jarring hit from pool stage to final.

A tournament of extraordinary upsets, RWC 2007 sees the rise of Argentina, the renaissance of the powerful Tongans and the return of the brilliant Fijians, as well as the resurgence of the northern hemisphere nations in the quarter-finals as England send Australia packing and France despatch favourites New Zealand.

After their humiliating defeat by South Africa in Pool A, England recover their pride and purpose in one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history, beating France in the semis en route to an epic re-match with the Springboks in the final. Re-live every moment as Jake White's superb South Africa side, featuring the likes of Habana, du Preez, Matfield and Botha, sweep England aside to claim their first world title since 1995.

Synopsis
A round-up of all the best action from the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

Good general review with a chance to relive some great moments: Ngwenya skinning habana, fiji's demolition of wales, delasau at his best and japans contender for try of the tournament.

but there's too much missing which means it fails to really capture the spirit of the tournament. One example - the USA vs Boks game, Mike Hercus put in some wonderful little touches and sleights of hand which could have been included instead of just the one try from Ngwenya. And most disappointing if all, Argentina's rampant display of flowing rugby in the 3rd place playoff gets edited down to a solitary try.

Also - no special features. the 2003 Best moments of the world cup DVD had the entire wales All blacks game as an extra feature. why couldnt we have the wales fiji game this time round?

very disappointing1
As a rugby fan, I was very disappointed with this DVD. After last World Cup's brilliant review I found that this lacked a great deal. For example, the DVD misses out around half the actual tries scored, especially in those games in which a giant plays a minnow team, NZ vs Portugal one of many examples in whcih maybe two or three of the many tries scored are actually shown. As a viewer and fan you'd want and expect to see all these tries/tackles/moments, not to have them completely overlooked! As well as this lack of detail, the commentator Bruce Hamall never misses a chance to have a snide remark about England's "poor" performances which becomes very irritating after a while.
So if you buy this DVD don't expect it to live up to the high standards set by the 2003 world cup review, as a rugby DVD, it's pretty lousy!
