Great image/speed/functions4
I have had this camera for over a month now having previously had an old Casio Exilim S20... although I have used various cameras through my work. I have been impressed with Casio's build quality my S20 has survived some serious abuse and that shaped my choice of this camera. I also wanted the camera to have the option of a manufacturers waterproof housing (EWC-80) that I now have and have used (it works very well).

This camera is very quick with start up, focusing, actual shutter release and functions like scrolling through photos happening as you want them. So as with my old S20 you don't have to wait.

The menu's and controls are intuitive and again very similar to previous Casio's and the battery last for ages. Camera is small, solid, the screen is big, clear and detailed. Burst camera modes allow for you to take multiple pictures and can be used with a flash. Which I find great for group photos... you can keep the one photo where everyone's eyes are open!

Picture quality is great with the auto set up working in most situations and the option to use preset best shot settings for many different conditions or customise your own. Great for macro, indoor, outdoor, action, (and under water with the EWC-80 housing ) etc

Slight bugbears, only a 3x zoom and some pictures taken into strong light can have slight purple halo but I am very happy with my new camera!

Very Impressed4
This is only my second digital camera and a significant upgrade from my previous 3M Nikon.
I am very impressed with the very easy to use menu and best shot functions. At this price you can not go wrong with all the features this camera gives you.
The screen is not as sharp when focusing on the picture sometimes and can be quite grainy when using the digital zoom feature. Do not let this put you off as the pictures are not as grainy and have good colour rendering.
I need to try the digital zoom on some lower settings eg 5M or 3M to see how good it is but at 10M when you zoom in to its max digital zoom the picture does loose a bit of its quality. Using just the optical zoom the picture are sharp and of good quality.
The lens is not as good as you would find on some Nikon and Cannon cameras but they are quite a bit dearer and are not as user friendly.(in my opinion)

I am using a 4G SD card with the camera and even setting it to the very best quality i can get in excess of 900 pictures on the card.
One of the reasons for choosing this camera over some of the other ones i looked at was the easy to use menu and also it ability to be used underwater with the additional diving case. As i scuba dive this is a feature i am keen to explore further and i will be purchasing the waterproof case in the near future.

Overall the camera is a good size and is very well made. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this camera at this price to other people.

Very good camera with few short comings4
This is my first compact digital camera and I must say it is a very good camera. The main reasons in buying this is for the good quality 10 megapixel photos and the amazingly small size.

This camera has a plethora of pre selected shot settings: sunset, children, portrait, scenery etc. I was pleasantly surprised with the video recording quality, but it is in no way as good as a video recorder. The controls are very simple to use and has a good UI. The battery life is very good, I think I took about 300 pictures till the camera needed charging. I was initially disappointed with the lack of viewfinder but I found the LCD to handle direct sunlight quite well.

There were a few things I didn't like about this camera though. The "anti-shake" or "image stabilization" setting is a joke as all it does is increase the ISO which just makes the pictures look worse. If you want to charge the camera or transfer pictures to your computer then you need to use the supplied dock which is annoying as you must carry it with you on holiday or where ever you need the camera for long periods.

Overall this is a very good camera with a few short comings, if your looking for a compact camera that takes quality pictures without running out of battery fast then this is your camera.
