The book deals with true story of a marriage, a lovable and relentless mother (she gives the strongest defence of marriage and she's a divorced Catholic), a six-year old who says his parents cannot get married ("eeeewww... that's gross!" but wants to go to the reception), a partner who doesn't want to act like a straight person, and the author.

What he discovers and explores will make readers-- gay or straight, right or left, single or married-- laugh as well as think. Well worth reading!
