Great purchase at a good price
After reading the review on the chess challenger and doing some research I found out that this computer has an updated and improved processor from the challenger. So I purchased it.
What I received (Amazons delivery:quick as always)was a good enough quality chess set with a powerful computer. The 'position' option where you can set the board up to a position of your choice(maybe a game you had against a friend)is great.
Will suit anyone from a novice up to an expert (I am rated well at club level and on the difficult settings it destroys me!).

I said good enough quality as it s a little plasticy (compared to my ebony wood set!)but it could not be critisised for this due to the price.
If you want a computer to replace your main 'luxury set' buy the Excalibur at £230 or the Novag senator at £330. In computer terms (unless you are a master/grand master) you will not notice the diffenece.
It is so much better than playing on a flat computer screen!

Great Chess computer thats easy to get into but hard to beet on the higher levels , its only let down by a software bug in the fun levels in that if you select a fun level then change to another level the computer continues to play at a reduced strength until you reset it by pressing the ACL button ,
Would have been 5 stars but for the problem above ..

A strong Chess opponant in a box.
A remarkable product certainly not just a toy - but a serious Chess comoputer. The gqame itself has many levels of play and is easy to use, though it is a complex game - ~I'm just starting to play and feel thatc I have learned much already The chess pieces are not of a great quality, but I am pleased with the whole psckage.
