Customer Reviews

Great Film and mostly Good Sound Tracks4
I've watched to film a couple of times and I have to say it grows on you - perhaps it just needs more thoughful watching than most films. It's definately not the sort of film hollywood makes - muchh too european and all the better for that. It also helps that Sally Potter is a dancer as well as director (and in this one of the principle actors).

Tango takes a lot of understanding - it's history, context in argentina, and the modern adoption throughout the world like no other dance.

On this CD there are a variety of interesting tracks - and as they were used for a dance orientated film, mostly danceable.

Try renting the film Tango Lesson [1997]and watching a couple of times - I think you'll find you want this CD and some more to go with it. If you don't like this hard core tango music why no try Gotan Projects one (you'll recognise some of the tracks from films and adverts.)La Revancha Del Tango

Far better selections in the list further down.2
Unbelievable that this selection based on the booby prize winning worst film of the year is still selling and is ranked so high up on the list of 2000 or so CDs available here. Having said that there are 2 great tracks on this CD.
