Excellent Quality TV
I bought this TV specifically for the bedroom and I am extremely pleased with it. Not only does it look attractive with its quality rose black finish; it performs just as you would expect from a quality Samsung LCD. The sound may be a little tinny for some and may not be up to its bigger 40" brother but is adequate for a bedroom, kitchen or study. If you are a bit of an audiophile there is the facility to enhance it's sound through a home cinema system. Undoubtedly it is the picture that is important and Samsung have got it absolutely right. This is a stunning TV.
Disapointed --- Edinburgh
Silly off me but i assumed as a samsung tv all would be well on all fronts , unfortunately not so.In general the picture is o.k. but,the sound system is really poor, might be due to downward facing speakers and low speaker power output, this however is no excuse for a manufacturer of tv,s with the expierience and above average prices of Samsung.
Very displeased
Bought to replace an ancient CRT and set-top Freeview box.
Picture: dark colours are fuzzy and indistinct, light colours (e.g. faces) lose all detail if there is any movement at all in the scene. Movement (e.g. snooker, so nothing too challenging) leaves shadows. Colour is all over the place - so sort out faces and switch over to snooker to find the baize a neon riot of eyeball-gouging green.
Sound: tinny, echo-ey. Poor adjustment - the graphic equaliser does very little to help.
The stand is not adjustable.
So I would expect this to be at least as good as the old CRT set, if not better. In practise it's significantly worse in all respects except for looks. I can't believe that this Samsung range gets rave reviews all over the place. Do people settle for such poor performance?
