Misleading
Bought this extended guarantee for 3 years extra cover but on receipt see that Allian are misleading customers. The "extended" guarantee starts straight away, with accidental damage and the breakdown cover starts after the one year manufacturers guarantee but only runs for 2 years. However I have decided to keep the product as it is still good value for two years cover, especially when you compare with Domestic and General who want £129 for same. Just annoyed at being misled.

Disappointed
I bought a Sony TV with extended warranty from Allianz. The TV was on pre-order. Nonetheless Allianz started the insurance from the time of order, not the time of delivery. Despite email exchanges Allianz would not correct the start date of the insurance without written proof of the TV delivery date. This I could not do (no delivery note, only invoice). I don't believe buying Allianz insurance from Amazon works, and my experience dealing with them doesn't bode well should a fault occur with the TV. I certainly won't be buying insurance from them again.

Very misleading
I am also cheesed off as this product does not do what it says on the tin. It clearly says on Amazon site that this policy comes into effect when the manufacturers guarantee expires. NOT TRUE. It starts on the day you buy the TV,in this case a Sony which already has a three year guarantee so whats the point. Get this sorted Amazon, please.
