Good Job!
I have the DVD player now for 1 week and so far so good. Using it along with a HDMI cable on a 720 HD tv. Also tried in on my smaller 1080P tv as a comparison. I am not able to compare it against blue-ray, however picture quality is very good.

Plays ok of USB drive, disk drive both DVD and avi format therefore no problems experienced like previous poster.

Another subtle feature I like is the absence of bright lights on the front; my previous DVD player had a blue power light that could warn ships of the coast. This unit has a dimmed time counter that is just dark enough to still be able to be read from distance.

Overall it does what it says on the tin, therefore giving it 5 stars on value for money.

Excellent - easy to use, and quality picture
Got this because my last DVD player had completely given up being able to read any disc.

I went for this DVD player as aesthetically it looked like it would fit in with the rest of my setup, as well as the fact I have a Samsung TV, and I've been very impressed with it.

Setup was very straightforward. Plugged in my HDMI cable (you'll need to buy one if you don't have one already, only component cables are included in the box).
My TV is a Samsung LCD, which has full HD. The remote for the TV worked the DVD without having to do anything.
All the settings (which you sometimes have to play around with on DVD players) set the output perfectly.

I tried a few discs, and was very pleased with the results. The upscaling from DVD to full HD is excellent, really crisp and clear, absolutely perfect.
Load times for the discs are excellent as well - the fastest of the various DVD players I have around the house.

In summary, an excellent DVD player at a great price. Highly recommended, especially if you've already got a Samsung TV.

Excellent player with good USB support
I've had this player for a week now, and I'm extremely pleased with it.

The unit looks nice, seems well-built, and has a good remote.
Picture quality is very good, I'm using it with a HD-ready (720p) TV so I can't vouch for the 1080p upscaling.

I bought it primarily for playing video from a USB stick, and it's been excellent in that respect. I'm using a 16GB USB stick, and it's worked with everything I've thrown at it so far. It even worked with a few files that I had problems playing with Windows media player on my PC. Browsing for files is also very quick, even when you've got a lot of files.

All-in-all, an excellent DVD player if you also want to play back video or music from USB. I know there are some slightly cheaper budget models out there, but I don't quite trust them!
