Camera
I got this camera for christmas and i have hardly put it down since. The zoom on the camera is amazing. I was about five metres away from my brother when i tried to take the picture and i could zoom in so far that you could only just fit in his nose, even better, when you take the picture the image is still crystal clear. Then once the picture has been taken you can zoom in even further (12x) on the playback function with the picture still staying clear. Then it comes to the editing. Using the touch screen i had great fun giving everyone moustaches using the pen function and using the sticker function i even managed to get my brother to wear bunny ears. You can also add frames- the only problem with this is that you can change the frame or picture size/ position so it doesn't always fit but most camera don't even have a frame function so it doesn't really count as a reason not to buy the camera. There are lots of other on camera editing functions such as: brightness, contrast and colour. It also has a red eye fix which works well.
Other features:
You can create decent quality video recordings on the camera (at the moment i can only record for 12 minutes but there is and sd/mmc card slot for extra memory- the camera comes with 450 mb)
there is also a world tour guide which is a bit of a random feature but it is quite fun to play around on. The only problem is it takes up a lot of memory so i removed some of the countries files so there was more memory for other things and i plan to put them back when i have an sd card for the camera. To use the guide you click on a continent then choose a constituent country and then city then attraction in city and you can read all about the attractions. Some of the attraction even come with pitures!
The camera also comes with an mp3 player. The built in speaker is really good considering its on a camera (its better than the one i have on an actual music player.) You can choose the background/ skin for the mp3 player. There are two default ones to choose from or you can use your own but i haven't worked out how to do that yet. You can also watch a slideshow of your pictures while listening to the music. The camera comes with a track on the mp3 player.
There is also a text function and a video function. The camera comes with a video which i watched and it was really good quality (well i thought it was...)
And of course there is the rotating screen. A lot of reviews that i have read of the camera say that its a bit of a gimmick and in a way i guess it is but it has its uses: turning it turns on the camera very quickly (while someone else is waiting for their camera to load you can already have taken a picture of them and given them a rather fetching beard)It also means you can go from feature quickly. Having it at 0 degress (->) it is the mp3 player at 90 degress (^) the video player(and tour guide and text reader)and at 180 degrees (<-) the camera.
All in all i think this camera is amazing and the reviews are right when they say that there are lots of features just to make the camera stand out but i think all the extra features are really good and it means that you don't need to carry around a camera, music/video player, book (even better you can have more than one book on the camera), a camcorder, a laptop(to edit the pictures as you can do this on the camera) or even things to do(just rotating the screen can supply hours of fun but when you get bored of that if you take a picture of a piece of paper you get a plain white background perfect for using the pen function to play hangman or noughts and crosses!). Definitely my favourite christmas present :)
not a good one
Though this camera has some new features but it is not user friendly at all. Some people may thnk that once they use it for few days they will get used to it but it is not the reality because every time you need to select any feature you have to go through many steps which is a big hassel.I would say that this camera is a bundle of hassel.
