Best Paella Book Ever!
This is a superb cookbook with many bewitching ways to create and serve the delectable dish, paella. The authors seem to know more about this dish than any other authorities I have read. And the other sections--soups, desserts, and sangrias--are excellent. All in all, first rate!
Paella, paella, paella
Should be retitled '101 Things to do with Paella'. Well ok, not quite 101 but seems like that after reading it. 15 of the 128 pages are taken up by the introduction and index, only 10 sangria recipes, 21 tapas recipes, 6 dessert recipes and the rest is paella. Paella with currants, chilled paella curry (yuck) vegetable paella, chicken and orange paella, sausage paella, anchovy paella, red paella, green paella etc etc. Could certainly have done with some more variety!
Spanish bar & restaurant cooking
As the title suggests this book has a good selection of Spanish bar and restaurant cooking recipes - many of which are made up from a large assortment of paella variations but rightly so as this is what you get in tapas bars and restaurants.. The author has captured many of the basics and simplicity of some popular Spanish recipes, a good book to have in the kitchen especially for the paella enthusiast
