Synopsis
Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall, co-creators and stars of BOTTOM, present this bawdy comedy starring themselves as Eddie and Richie Twat (pronounced Thwaite), the owners of the Guesthouse Paradiso, a foul, malodorous Hotel in a permanent state of disrepair and situated next to a nuclear power plant. Something of a cross between BOTTOM and FAWLTY TOWERS, the film's plot finds the hotel's diminished staff put into a tizzy by the arrival of Gina Carbonara, a beautiful Italian movie star. However, the makeshift cook somehow acquires some seafood that has been irradiated by the nearby plant, thus producing some serious gastrointestinal stress on the guests.

From the Back Cover
Richie and Eddie are running the nastiest, smelliest, most squalid hotel in the world and things are not going well. The Chef's guzzled all the food, cash is running low and most of the guests have fled without paying! But things are on the up with the arrival of the Nice family, some exotic underwear and the sexy Italian movie star Gina Carbonara. Richie is soon indulging his passion for panty pilfering whilst desperately trying to impress the fragrant Ms. Carbonara! But with Gina's jilted fiancie in hot pursuit and something decidedly iffy about the fish dinner Richie & Eddie are going to escape in one piece.

Grade A film from the start5
I own this movie on DVD and I have watched it about 10 times and it's still funny. The jokes will never get boring and I often burst out laughing at inappropriate times just thinking about them. The premise is that Richard and Eddie of Bottom fame own the cheapest hotel in Britain next to a nuclear power plant. They are desperately in need of cash and when a film star in hiding comes to stay their luck just might be in.

To watch this movie and not become utterly bored or disgusted you first need to like the humour. Some would say that only hardcore fans really enjoy watching it. But overall it's a great movie.

Funny - and then some!5
Before I bought this DVD I had read a lot of bad reviews. I can only assume these reviews are by people who don't like this kind of humour or didn't enjoy Bottom on TV. This film is like Bottom with bells on, it's funny from the opening scenes to the final one. If you like Rik Mayall & Adrian Edmondson and loved Bottom this is a must own DVD.

It's thwait!5
this is the bottom film that came out of comedy writing and performing duo; Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson. This film starts where the bottom characters Eddie Hitler and Richard Richard, although Richard's surname is now Tw*t pronounced Thwait apparently, left off. running Britains cheapest hotel is no easy task especially when it is next door to a nuclear power station, you have no bookings and can't go five minutes without a serious, cartoon style punch up with your buisness partner. the film also has cameos by Simon Pegg and Bill Nighy, this is a must for any bottom fan, there is violence in this that will not just make you wince but actually make your eyes water, especially the men and did I tell you it is also very funny.
IMPORTANT- if your DVD player is set to '4x3 pan and scan mode' the menu highlight is not shown making it impossible to select anything, change your players setup to '4x3 letterbox mode' this will not affect the picture quality or the size very much but is essential to watch the film, subtitles or special features. this dvd's extras are: 3 trailers, game for PC, 'ar*e ups', subtiles and a making of documentry.
