Catchphrase, based on the popular TV show, is attractively designed, caters for ages eight years and above and can be played by two people or teams.

The game pack consists of four sets of cards and a timer. The packs are made up of groups of six double-sided cards. The face sides are numbered 1–60 and are complete catchphrase images. The reverse sides are part of a bigger image made up of the six cards. The reverse of the card is revealed on the playing board when a person or team guess the face catchphrase correctly.

The aim of the game is to guess the most catchphrases, thus gaining the highest score. Each time the reverse of a card is revealed, the players have to guess the catchphrase of the larger image within the allotted time (timer included). The earlier the correct answer is given, the most points are scored. One point is given for every correct guess of the complete face card catchphrases.

The difficulty of the catchphrase increases as the game progresses and more points are scored for the final six cards of the pack. It then becomes much more exciting.

The game will appeal to all age groups. The cards have amusing cartoon type designs and the game is easy to understand. The set is fairly compact and could easily be packed up for a holiday game if desired. So why not try your lateral thinking and give this one a try? --Ben King

Good but doesn't last long!
Sat for two hours one evening and went through a quarter of the whole game! Better with more people obviously, but still good with two. Its a lot of money for a game that can be finished completely in only four decent games or less! Pictures seem a little bit blurry and the drawing is very childish so that in itself makes the game a bit harder... It is fun though and challenging at times for the right reasons. I think this is one game where it would be better by far to play it somewhere online. Waste of packaging to have a huge box with four small sets of cards and a timer. Overall, just ok, not great.

catchphrase at home
we all shouted at the telly before the contestant and now the chance to shout it out before bridget is cool i love my wife but to beat her at catchphrase is a joy. she's more of a cluedo man which is all very well but the thrill of whopping her at that compared with the joy of whipping her at catchphrase dwindles into insignificance. buy this game and whip the missus its a man thing we just see pictures better.
although i have to admit she often trounces me but this is a game that i ought to win and as a consequence am prepared to lie in order to win
