Uncovering the sounds4
From the opening track by The Who this CD has some great songs and some even better instrumentals. Grissom's Overture is fantastic and atmospheric, as well as being hugely uplifting at the end. There is a great track from The Wallflowers " Everybody out of the water" which has a great catchy chorus.
The beginning of the CD is very rocky, then it mellows a bit, then there are some heavier rock moments with Grand Theft Auto and Curve, followed by some great dance stuff and finishing up with some atmospheric tracks, particluraly the last 2 instrumentals from the series composer. A great CD with a variety of music types and styles. Can't recognise many tracks from the series, but don't let this stop you getting a good compilation albums of great music.

csi soundtrack objective review3
The fantastic underscore by John M keane which penetrates every episode unfortunately only appears at the end and there should be alot more of it on the cd.Admittedly i felt using The Who's Who are you? was inspirational as it gives you a feel of the show immediately.Danny Cannon chooses great music to use in the show. Many tunes from Zero 7 from their album Simple Things have been used.Download it,buy it,you'll hear a quality album.Give it away appears on the soundtrack.Another soundtrack is needed.Series 3/4 excellant music.Check out Ian Brown FEAR from series 3.

Disappointing.1
Disappointing. We get only two measly tracks of John M. Keane's wonderful score for the show. This CD should be full of it, where is the rest?! It's John M. Keane who sets the scene, who underscores the drama, who highlights the emotions and tensions on screen, not a bunch of songs. And my guess is a lot of the songs on here aren't even from the show - as one reviewer states on here, some of the tracks they didn't even recognise!

Another of these so-called "soundtracks", which are not soundtracks at all. They are merely compilation albums, compiled of random songs; some of which might have even featured in the show. Can you say "money-making tie-in?"

If you're a REAL soundtrack-lover like me, do what I did and hunt down the bootleg CD that's floating around - it's full of John M. Keanes's sterling work.
