    Scalextrix Powerslide4
This is a great set for all ages, my 4 year old son can play it just as well as any adult, it's easy to set up and lots of fun. The great thing about this set is the cars slide easily and spin 180 but don't come off the track too often and they stand up to crashing into each other frequently. You can pile up tyres and smash into them and perform 180 spins almost on the spot or practice powersliding around the whole track. It's more fun for younger children than traditional racing and the adults seem to like it as well. The track isn't long, however this doesn't seem to matter too much because the cars are not constantly going round and round they are spinning and going back they way they came frequently. It's a good value starter set and can be built up later into a longer more traditional track.

So much more than a normal Scalextric5
We bought this for our son for Christmas and I can honestly say the whole family has had a go... not just the boys (grown up or otherwise). The drifting works really well and requires a bit of practice and skill. The cars slide and can even spin round and go back round the track the other way.. clever. We haven't managed to break it yet despite the crashing either... but it's early days and probably too soon to comment!.

Ok so this is for me, not the kids5
I bought this set recently, I've been waiting for my son to be old enough but couldn't wait any longer.

So it's scalextric, cool. you can powerslide, cool. there's a cross roads for crashing, cool. you can flick the back end out and do a 180, no really you can, super cool. easy to fix together and my 3 year old has got the hang of it in about 5 mins, easy to keep cars on the track due to barriers etc. Comes with spare brushes for the cars too.
