I am a parent Governor of a small primary school. I found this publication a very useful tool when defining the Governor role in school and for those who actively want to make progress. It gives very good guidelines to follow for positive improvement in your school in the following areas; the GB, the curriculum, school improvement, children, parents, staffing, finance and premises. The book can answer a lot of questions that you would normally have to ring up your LEA Governor advisor for.
