This is what Jazzanova are all about
Anyone who's caught a Jazzanova DJ set or enjoyed their previous albums and remixes will know what to expect from this album. It's an (as always) brilliant, dance-floor fusion of jazz, funk, hip-hop, house, and goodness knows what else, starting out with some Jill Scott and weaving its way through all manner of stuff, including a couple of Jazzanova tracks which I think are unavailable elsewhere on CD. If you're looking for a sample of what Jazzanova and the German nu-jazz scene more generally are all about, this is as good a place as any to start. Highly recommended and probably too cool for its own darn good.

And here we have the first TRULY essential album of the year - yeah there's been quite a few corkers, but Jazzanova take a bow and progress to pole position.
From start to finish, every single track on this mix will make you tap your feet, nod your head, smile or more probably all three.
Don't even think about buying this release - just do it. You'll not regret it for years to come and this mix will last years - timeless, effortless grooves, quality broken beats, soulful vocals - its got the lot!

too cool for skool!
This is the 1st jazzanova album i have bought and thought it would be a good starting place to get a feel their music. i was impressed with the album on the whole yet with all the exclusive (re)mixes etc i was expecting more. some the chilled hiphop and abstract beats were good but i though it was just too hard to be too cool!
