Manufacturer's Description
Step onto the pitch and play professional football your way in FIFA 09. Experience the most authentic football simulation EA Sports has delivered as you live the fantasy of playing as a professional player and customise the game to suit your style and ability.

Powered by the third generation of the EA Sports football engine, FIFA 09 features more than 250 core gameplay additions and enhancements that deliver the most responsive, intelligent and realistic action ever for the series. Enjoy turning defenders with more controlled dribbling and ball control, snapping off precision shots with improved first-time shooting mechanics and firing beautifully timed passes with greater accuracy, placing the ball exactly where you want it.

With new player momentum physics the speed and weight of the player determines everything from the distance of a slide tackle and the power of a header to the severity of player collisions and the height of a player's jump. Plus, players now behave according to their physical attributes with larger, stronger players dominating collisions, battles for control of the ball, and position in challenges for two player headers.

A great game at a good price, keeps my son (8) amused for very long periods and he has tried most of these foorball games-the best bits are the improved graphics, training a pro, plus it gets harder as you progress in competitions- so none of the mastery and boredom associated with similar football games-also it is much harder than PES evolution. Definitely a winner!

Agree with cygnet3
First off I would like to say that I agree with cygnet. The play isn't bad but some of the negatives are:
- In the game the players do not look at all realistic
- 'World class' is still too easy
- It is really easy to have players sent off
- Other teams will only be booked between 0-3 times A SEASON (on any level)
Squads are also unusual and often incorrect. Missing some transfers is understandable but in Arsenal's squad there is Kerrea Gilbert but no Vela. (I'm not sure if Song is there either). Ratings are also odd.

Overall, if you want to just play football and don't care about the details, then this is worth it. However, if say Manager Mode is your favourite, or you are a pro, then you will probably find this game more tedious than fun.

Outstanding!5
I thought it was really fun especially on 2 player because my friend always fouled me and I got lots of injuries! On the normal one I always fouled everybody else. And its fun to choose a new player when you've been injured.
