Product Description

A renegade faction of the world's most powerful villains is intent on destroying G.L.O.V.E. (Global League Of Villainous Enterprises) and showing the world the true face of evil. The Disciples begin by hijacking Diabolus Darkdoom's Airborne command post, then they kidnap his son and his son's best friend. Unfortunately for them, Nigel Darkdoom (and Franz) also happen to be Otto's friends. Heading out to America, Otto, Wing et al embark on a perilous and highly unauthorised rescue operation. Cut off from the support of H.I.V.E. and on the run from American security forces the hunt for their friends leads to one of the US military's most secret facilities. It becomes clear that the Disciples are not all they appear and in a desperate race against time Otto must work out who his real friends are to prevent the Disciples from completing their true objective. Only Otto can save the world from domination by a sinister new world order but it might be that the price he has to pay is just too high. When it comes to the crunch will he be prepared to sacrifice himself?

Review
`A clever and gripping read'
--Junior Education Plus magazine Junior Education Plus magazine

About the Author
Mark Walden's first book, H.I.V.E., was selected a winner in Richard and Judy's 'Best Kids' Books Ever'. Paramount has optioned the film rights, and it was chosen as one of ten titles for Booktrust's Booked Up scheme, which gives every secondary school student a free book. Mark has followed this success with two further titles in the extraordinarily brilliant H.I.V.E. series and has been selected as a WBD author for 2009. He is happily married (as is his wife, he hopes) and is the proud father of Megan.

Dreadnought5
Dreadnought is the fourth book in the H.I.V.E. series following Higher Institute of Villianous Education, The Overlord Protocol and Escape Velocity. In this book, Otto is still adjusting to the knowledge that he had learnt from Number One, and still has not told anyone. There is a new face on the scene, and Laura seems to feel threatened, although she still maintains she doesn't like Otto. The four friends are on their way to an Arctic training exercise, when their visit is interrupted with a tour of Darkdoom's new flagship Dreadnought. But while they are there their tour is interrupted by an unknown adversary. Can Darkdoom hold out against this mysterious enemy? Can Otto save the day again? Read the book to find out!

This book and the rest of this series is highly recommended by me, because it is gripping and exciting and you can't put them down until the end!
